United Prison Equipment, President, Marc Smith and the United Prison Equipment team were presented with a Semi-Finalist Governor's Award for Safety Excellence from the Department of Labor recently. This award recognizes United Prison Equipment's commitment to providing a safe working environment for Pennsylvania workers.

United Prison Equipment, Green Lane, PA, formally announced today, that it has entered into an agreement with Garrett Central Metal Detectors to become an authorized dealer for Garrett metal detectors.

United Prison Equipment wanted to thank everyone who stopped into our booth at the recent ACA (American Correctional Association) 140th Congress of Correction in Chicago. The ACA put together a great show along with seminars to help ACA members.The 140th Congress of Correction is one of the only international conventions that attract corrections officials from the county, state and federal levels, as well as from probation and parole and community corrections agencies.
